This is a 20 inch Box Fan with 4 - 1 inch x 20 inch x 20 inch (Merv 8, Merv 11, or Merv 13) Air Filters.
I made it so that you can replace one filter at a time without removing any tape. All you have to do is un-clip the filter and replace it with a new one.
I have been wanting to make this for years but had other things to do. I use it everyday, a few hours a day, fan setting on low. I have Merv 13 air filters.
What you will need is:
1 - 20 inch x 20 inch x 3.5mm cardboard for the bottom
1 - Lasko Air Circulating 20 INCH Box Fan, White (Amazon.com)
1 - Aerostar 20 inch x 20 inch x 1 inch, MERV 13 Pleated Air Filter, AC Furnace Air Filter, 4 Pack (Actual Size: 19 3/4" x 19 3/4" x 3/4") (Amazon.com)
Print:
8 - Corner Box Fan Air Filter.stl (4 for the top and 4 for the bottom corners)
8 - Slide Clip Box Fan Air Filter.stl
4 or 8 - Bottom Clip Box Fan Air Filter.stl (it holds the cardboard)
2 - Top Left Box Fan Air Filter.stl
2 - Top Right Box Fan Air Filter.stl
This works GREAT!!
